Why “sensitive” singer/songwriters piss me off…

I was reading Rolling Stone's review of the latest Jewel album, among other recent releases.
The reviewer touched on everything I absolutely loathe about this genre of performers, not strictly talking about Jewel, herself (I don't like many of her songs, but got some respect for her personally after seeing her hold her own against [...]
