Months ago, I entered yet another contest on Sonicbids.com. Was I a finalist? AHAHAHAHAHA! Anyway, I think I was too old and/or not road hardened enough to handle what these folks were looking for. Everyone who was a finalist appeared to be under the age of 25 and played in clubs since they were 10 or something (oops!!).

Anyway, I went through and listened to what Biore wants help in “Uncovering” in their music section. This one woman, by and far, blew these other girls out of the water.

As with many others who have a subscriber account on YouTube, I got spammed this morning by someone named Karengfdh who wants to “share a video”. Gee, how nice. On my way to delete a “friend request” to some self-aggrandizing softcore business, I discovered that I had some subs sitting in my YouTube viewing pile - three in total. One is to “I Created Disco” - Calvin Harris’ YouTube Channel (don’t ask me why I choose to admit to this in public). The other is to some internet marketing firm based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA, but what they hey? They’re willing to share some ideas. Why not? Third is Michael Buble’s YouTube Channel - again, don’t ask. Fourth is for a band out of England. They are called the Velvet Hearts, and one of their members sent me friend request many moons ago, and they seemed pretty cool at the time, so, again, hey! Why not?

Well, to say they’re breaking out is a bit of an understatement:

This is old school folk rock-balladry, sounds like it came from the ’70’s, but it’s done wonderfully, wonderfully well. And apparently, other folks over at YouTube land feel the same way as well.
