I’m famous?

I’m wondering whether the blurb on the “Round-Up” puts me among the “Best Local Blogs” (REALLY??!?!?!?!?!) or am I being flung in with the “assorted quirkiness from the greater Web in general” (I’m more inclined to go along wit the latter, myself).

Actually, I need to make a correction, here. I didn’t TOTALLY have an awful time at the GoGo’s show Saturday night. I almost DIDN’T have a good time at the GoGo’s show Saturday night. That I went into a dissertation as to why is beside the point. :p

Meanwhile…in other news…

• That link above points to this blog’s discussion on the (non) impact of illegal music downloading, which then proves that moves like this and this make a whole lot of sense. Oh, and that woman who got dinged by the RIAA is asking for Paypal donations.
• John Mellancamp has written a song about the Jena 6.  The town of Jena will not be adopting it as it’s anthem anytime soon…
• Mitt Romney is a two-faced scumbag of the highest order!
• You may or may not agree with the Brown’s decision not to pay taxes on legal grounds (the Federal Income Tax had been enacted as a “Temporary” measure, seen as something to be used in times of national financial duress…at least until the Sixteenth Amendment was ratified). But in no way, NO WAY, does this justify this action happening to any of their supporters! You don’t think we live in a fascist nation as of yet? Think again! And, even though Ed Brown is now in Federal hands, he’s not listed as an official prisoner. Hmmmmmmm…
• Sometimes looking at the Top posts on the WordPress Dashboard can be quite fruitful. Not only am I adding this woman to my blogroll, I’m stealing one of her icons. Because it’s true of my neck of the digital woods, as well.
