John Stewart died today.
NO! NOT THAT ONE!

Most folks 55 and up will most likely remember him for his classic album “California Bloodlines”, as well as that song he wrote for the Monkees. Since that was just a tad before my time, I’ll just note that my fondest memory of his music was, during the summer of 1979, singing to the radio with this scarily bright little kid named Garth that I babysat on occasion, in between one of our (frankly) many bouts of chess (that I lost a lot of - told you all he was scarily bright):
“Drivin’ down the highway,
singing to my soul
People out there turnin’ music in to gold…”

Heard this song today for first time and thought it was an original by Stevie Nicks and Buckingham - so catchy just had to look up the lyrics and googled your’s came up first. So sad
