All kidding aside…
Despite the rather unfortunate name, I rather like this band and their music. It’s been a while since we’ve had a melodic ska-influenced rock band make a killing on MTV2. Or VH1.

I also went to Richard S.’s blog to get my global electronica fix, and found a cool video based on a Diplo remix of a Brazilian rap tune.
Since he just posted it, I’ll just redirect you all there to watch it. Enjoy!

Okay, I’ll bite. . . what is the name of the group and what are the names of the two songs on the videos?

I guess it would help if the names were noted. :p
The name of the band is Vampire Weekend. The song in the first video is “A Punk”; the one in the second is “Mansard Roof”.
The British press are all over these guys, and MTV2 has been showing them a lot of love in their “Elite 8″ show. I’m jealous. :p
