As of tonight, I have five songs down for my RPM Challenge CD. The going has been slower than I thought. On the other hand, the limitations I’ve set myself r.e. the composing and recording process has been quite liberating, surprisingly enough. Sure some of the songs may be borderline tacky, trashy, and the synths WAY too obvious, but every once in a while, you need to get that stuff out before you get on to the good ‘uns.
Anywho, here’s my newest tune. It’s called Alzheimer’s. Having several members of my extended family suffer this fate made me feel compelled to write this character study.
It’s nothing fancy. I’m starting to realize that I don’t have that much time left, so, from here on end, my compositions my start getting even more simple. I wanted this song to be a piano ballad, but the piano synth in the Griff Software sounds awful. SO I went for the harp sound instead. So now it’s a “Harp Ballad”.
Anyway…thoughts?
